History

Jack's Boat Rental has been a fixture on the Outer Cape since 1971. We've maintained a tradition of excellent customer service, superior equipment, and a love of the Cape that we try to share with everyone we encounter. Jack retired in 2021 (see Jack's story here), but Jack's Boat Rental continues on in the same spirit. We hope to be a special part of your visit to the Cape. 

Continuing the Tradition

Beginning in 2022, Jack's has been operated by husband and wife team, Mike and Michelle, a couple who have found themselves on and off of the Cape (and customers at Jack's) for years and, like Jack, have decided to spend their time somewhere they love: Wellfleet.

Mike and Michelle, both avid paddlers and advocates of all things outdoors, remain excited to be continuing in Jack's footsteps. As the founder of Venture Outdoors and Kayak Pittsburgh, and as a NOLS instructor, Mike brings hands-on leadership, operations and paddling experience to Jack’s. With a career in international affairs and non-profit management, Michelle’s background ensures Jack’s continued focus on customer service and amazing experiences on the outer Cape.
